Prune question - introducing them.

LO is pretty constipated, so I want to give him some prunes. But i just introduced a new food 2 days ago and we are in the 4 day wait period.

Do I have really have to wait another 2 days before introducing prunes? Or does it not matter that much.

I started with prunes, so I'm probably no help. But we introduced her to two foods at once. Both DH and I have no allergies and are pretty confident that Annabelle doesnt either. We just alternate between the two foods for 4 days and then switch. Normally by that point she's finished whatever I have taken out, so I dont waste any either.

If you're really worried that he might have an allergy, I would wait. If you're not too concerned, go ahead.

I wouls stop 1st food, then give prunes. But, neither DH or I have allergies.

yes, and we tried those last night. They don't seem to be doing the trick...so we need to bring in something a little stronger.

I dont know if you want to go this route, but I was asking about this the other day too. Annabelle has been super constipated and the prunes didnt help us at all. A bumpie told me to try a little bottle with half apple juice half water, and it worked like a charm! We give her a little each morning, and by the afternoon she's already pooped! No more screaming!

Just be careful how much constipation relief you give how close together. DH gave DD apple juice Wednesday night and when she didn't go immediately Thursday morning he gave her prunes and then some more juice.

She has been a poo machine. 10 poopies in the last 24 hours and DH was sick and dizzy yesterday so mommy got it all.
