pinching?

Does anyone have a LO that pinches?  DD does when she is tired, or nursing or sometimes just when I'm holding her.  It hurts like a biatch!!  I don't know what to do to stop it or how I should react.  Maybe it is a bad phase and it will pass, but it sucks.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated...  Other than making her wear mittens all day :-)

    DD pinches and scratches at me all the time. I just grab her hands and rub them on my arms and tell her "nice" or "gentle". Don't know if it will work or not, only time will tell.

    DD is awful at pinching, I have no idea how to get her to stop.  I will grab her hand and say No but like she really understands that because 2 seconds later she does it again.

    Thanks for your input...  I am willing to try anything.  I get all the welts all over my neck from her, not living this phase.  Let's hope she gets over it soon :-)

    DS just started pinching and scratching, not sure why my nose is the target...or my husbands arm hair! :)
