I hate bath time with T. It is such a chore with him throwing toys, dumping water out of the tub and trying to "walk" in the tub that I dread it everytime. I have skipped his bath on more than one occasion due to this.
I also hate that parenting comes so easy to my husband. He can teach Trent something in 1/10th the time it takes me. He taught him to clap, wave and blow kisses all within a three day period. Last week I got home from work and T was eating perfectly from his spoon. I give him a spoon he throws it. Dad does it and it is awesome. I'm glad that they have such a great relationship but it also bugs me deep down.
DH & I have been invited to several parties, and we've used them all as excuses to the others as to why we can't attend. We're staying in instead and I can't wait
We are about to start TTC #2 and I'm already getting waaaaay obsessive about temping, OPK's, my diet, DH's diet, etc etc. There is absolutely no reason for this, as we got KU on our 2nd try with DS, but I was also that obsessive then. I try not to tell DH about all I'm doing because he thinks I'm BSC. I just have this unreasonable fear that we're going to have issues getting pg. It's like I seek out the stories of secondary IF so I can worry it's going to happen to us. WTF is wrong with me?!

Aw, don't let it bother you. The kids have always listened to DH better. All DH has to do is give a look.
I've been wearing nursing tanks instead of bras for almost 16 months now. DS only nurses 1-2 times a day now. I really have no excuse to wear them anymore and should get rid of the uni-boob. Its so comfy though.
Regarding the post a few days ago about fancy things. I don't own a single designer thing, and I have no desire to Not a purse, shoe or shirt. Even when I had extra disposable income, I couldn't understand paying so much for a label. I really think it is stupid and materialistic to overpay for things just because they are a certain brand. I understand that there are different levels of quality but no enough to justify designer prices.
Even on the days we're off, if we send ds to daycare, we make sure to send him before breakfast, that way daycare gives him his breakfast, snack, and lunch. He is so picky, and loves to throw his food to the ground, that I let them deal with it.
Even though I had oatmeal for breakfast, I'm sitting here at work enjoying a gooey cinnamon roll. It's delicious!

Whenever there's a post about a big box store making a minor error in the consumer's favor, I always roll my eyes at the respondents who insist that they would go back and "do the right thing" by bringing it to the store's attention. I'll bet 75% of the time, they really wouldn't.

LOL. Yep there is always a line of people rushing back to say, sorry I still owe you $100+ because you made a mistake.

Meh. No flames, but I would much rather spend $200 on a purse that will last for years and years, rather than a purse that will last a few months and I have to keep buying new ones.

I said I wasn't going to make New Year's Resolutions, but I am a fatass and really need to diet, like 10 years ago.
So what am I doing now? Dinking a Venti Peppermint Mocha with real milk and whip for breakfast and gorging myself on Indian buffet for lunch. 2010 is going out with a big, FAT, bang!
Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.

Lol. How sad is it that DH and I are discussing what to eat today, and so far its bojangles, and definitely a venti something! I'm cleaning out the cabinets and heading to the grocery store, goodbye cookies, hello lettuce!

I am so happy to read this convo because I am doing the same thing! I am stuffing my chunky face today and getting out all my cravings because tommorow I am starting a strict no-sugar diet! (bye-bye sweet tea...::tear, sniff-sniff::) Summer will be here soon and I am determined to be back in a bikini this year!

TTC can be really stressful. I think most of us experience the concerns and paranoia at some point on the journey. Hopefully we all get our BFPs soon!
DH gave me a sampler set of perfume for Christmas that included 2
perfumes by Britney and one by Mariah. I thought it was really cute
that he picked it out all by himself but didn't expect to like them--I
figured they'd smell "teenybopper" (whatever that means)
I'm wearing the Mariah one today and am LOVING it! WTG DH!
My kid plays with (and loves) dog toys. My dog isn't interested in them so at least they are getting some use.
This. And:
1. I just bought more Bravado seamless nursing bras even though I'm just about done nursing. They are the most comfortable bras I have ever worn.
2. After the jegging discussion yesterday, I ordered some online even though I always said I'd never wear them. I've got some killer boots and I need something to tuck into them.

LOL!! And sorry, I guess I just feel like a weirdo around most of my friends IRL--even the ones who have IF issues sometimes don't get as obsessive as me...
(we totally take them to DC when we're off to get things done & have an adult day too...I don't feel a bit bad).
my confession- it didn't used to but it is starting to bother me that my kids are constantly saying "dada? dada?" when i'm alone with them- like in the car after daycare, at home at the end of the day and like today when I'm off with them & he's at work. they never say 'mama?' to him & pretty much only say it to me when they want more food.
ETA I'm having ramen noodles for lunch. I still love them, 15 years post college...

Good to know but talk to me in a few months and let me know if she's still doing it.... lol . (I need to fix my siggie, I don't know why it is stuck at a year)
I really don't want the WAH job I've been interviewing for, but I will feel obligated to accept if they offer it. I hope they don't offer, but if they actually don't, I will tell my friends and family they did and I turned it down so I don't have to admit I didn't get it. LOL I'm crazy.

Well then, I have no advice lol.

Well I screwed up the math anyway cuz they're 17 months not 18. der.
There are times that I would rather let Jackson sit in poop than change his diaper... actually it is all the time (I don't.. but I would like to). Changing his diaper is an absolute nightmare, I hold his feet so tightly to keep him from turning over that I can't help but think that I am going to hurt him.
1. I said I thought Scout was creepy, but now that we have given him to DS I LOVE him. He is so cute lol. I hope he and DS form a life-long friendship, a la Woody and Andy.
2. I shop at teen stores because that's where the discounts are, and I feel absolutely no shame about it.
3. The dog across the hall barks ALL DAY. It is an annoying yippy little dog and it drives me crazy, ESP. because it sometimes wakes DS up during his nap, despite the presence of white noise in his bedroom. Sometimes I want to hire Newman from Seinfeld to capture it and let it go on a farm in the country.
4. I got a BFN today, and although a pregnancy right now would be about a 7 on a disaster scale from 1 to 10, I was still pretty bummed.
I wasn't the least bit saddened by the fact that my child turned one. I love her to death, but I'm so glad the breath holding, blood curdling screaming for the first 6-8 months, is over with. This age is the best!!

Ditto this. I sooooo do not miss the baby days. Toddlers are way better even if mine still do not STTN. Actually I think I blocked most of their first year out, thank god for pix & video.

I am dreading the new year diet/exercise obsession. I feel like a big, flat blob and it's only going to get worse over the next 5 months. The giant fibroids I have make me look like I'm preg with triplets, plus they seem to mess with my circulation so I retain water really badly. I don't want to hear "I just dropped a dress size." while I have to keep buying mu-mus in larger sizes to go around my huge belly. And yes, I know it's just me being hormonal.
I hate the word "meh". I have never heard someone use this IRL and the image I get in my mind of someone actually saying it looks something like a muppet.
I also hate "Errrrr" when I know someone means "Grrrrr". To me, they mean two different things.
I'm supposed to be cleaning out my car. It gets like a sh*t hole in days. Yet, I'm sitting here.
I'm deciding whether to take a nap or get things ready for our neighbors to come over later. I know mh is crazy when it comes to having people at the house and he'll clean up if I leave it. But, that's not nice of me.
I bought grey skinny pants because they were on sale at Banana for $32 down from $90. I don't know if I can pull them off because grey on non-twiggy thighs can be an eyesore, but I felt the deal was too good to pass up.
I bought frozen cream puffs to serve tonight but I ate half the box already. I hope my neighbors bring good dessert.
I just had a brazilian yesterday in the evening. I haven't had time to shower yet, so my butt cheeks are still kind of stuck together. I'm glad I don't poop on a regular basis.
DH and I both had this entire week off and we sent DD to daycare on her regular schedule. We got tons of errands and stuff done around the house, and it felt so nice to actually go grocery shopping together without her. It was like a "date"! I love her to death, but spending all day with her is exhausting!

I have 2:
1. I had to pry some cat food out of my son's mouth this morning.
2. I'm definitely having a glass of champagne tonight even though I will probably go to bed at 9pm. Yum.

Oh, and yes, I know it is after xmas and I still have a siggy pic from Halloween. I just don't care to bother changing it.
