These effin' Dr. Brown bottles...

Whose brilliant idea was it to NOT put the ounces in color? It's just written in raised plastic. Must've been someone who never had to feed a baby or prepare a bottle in the dark. WTF?!

When I had DS, the ounces were in color...why did the change it? Fvckers.

  • Doesn't that suck? My sister uses those bottles and prepped them ahead of time so she didn't have to measure in the dark. She filled the bottles with water so in the middle of the night she could just dump pre-measured powder into the bottle and shake it. Not sure what kind of formula you're using, but maybe something like that would help?

  • We usually prep them too, but we use RTF, so if I'm starting a new container of formula I can't see sh!t in the dark! Nor can I see how much she's drinking. Stupid bottles.

I do this. It makes things a lot easier especially when you're sleep deprived and can't really open your eyes much.

  • I breastfeed & pump so I occasionally use bottles. I have Dr. Brown bottles & they have the ounces in color ( blue). They are the Natural flow bottles, which ones do you have?

The regular 8 ounce natural flow ones. My DS' (from 2.5 years ago) bottles were in color...but these aren't. Should've kept those dammit!

  • We had the same problem! I took a black permanent marker and made a dash over each ounce line so I can see it in the dark.  It doesn't look great, but it works for us lol!
