I just officially got my first CHs, with O on CD 21. Before I started charting, my last two cycles were 27 and 28 days long. If that stays consistent, than my LP is 6-7 days.
I've read that B-6 can increase the length of the LP. Has this worked for anyone? If so, what dose? Do you take it every day or before/after O?

Thanks, ladies!
I'm not at the point to see my doc, yet. This is my first cycle charting, and my fourth cycle after stopping BCP. I just want to be ready with info when/if we have to have the conversation.
Honestly, when I mentioned it to the NP I saw, she was like "yeah, take it". I have a feeling she had not heard of taking it to lengthen LP.
I also checked with our PharmD at work (smarter than MD's when it comes to medications, IMO) and he said it's water soluble, so no big deal.
I take 100mg daily and have had my LP go from 9-10 days to 14 last cycle! Now, I was on the pill before TTC so that could have influenced it, but I am going to continue taking it.

I definitely wouldnt start taking B6 until after you have charted a few cycles to see if it is a consistent problem for you. Especially since you just recently stopped taking BCPs. If it IS a consistent problem several months post BCPs then you can either talk to your doctor or start taking B6. (As it is a water soluble vitamin I personally see no harm in taking the correct dosage without seeing a physician, but to each her own). So far it hasnt dont much to help out my short LP but Im pretty certain I have some other issues involved also. But I know it does work for a lot of women with this problem.
As for the PP who just started taking it because you had short cycles: I would chart before you dove in to B6 without knowing if you even have a problem. Short cycles =/= short LP at all! If you have a normal LP there is no need to lengthen it and I would make certain that I didnt before I started to take something that lengthened it.
Honestly, B6 is a water soluable vitamin. Take it, don't take it, it really isn't as big a deal as it seems. Just be light with your dosage - 50-100 mg/day.
