Let me try to cover it all really quickly & post some pictures for those who make it through 
I'm never around anymore because the kid is fussy pretty much all of the time. I swear he knows when I'm planning on doing something or eating because as soon as I open a jar of peanut butter to try to inhale a PB&J (at like... 3pm - first meal of the day) he cries. I will be mastering the Moby as soon as my parents leave on Saturday.
I felt horrible that when my parents were here in November they didn't get to see either of us that much so I've been trying to be super patient w/them (especially my mother who is driving me crazy). It's like she's trying to take over - not in a helpful way but in a demanding over bearing way.
Evan is tongue tied which makes BFing KILLER. We're getting it clipped tomorrow. We originally thought it'd be a simple in-office procedure but it turns out they do "surgery" with general anesthesia and everything. I'm freaking out but I know it'll be best to get it over with while he's so young. I'm going to be a basket case tomorrow for the surgery and tonight's going to be FANTASTIC because he can't eat after midnight.
My milk supply is out of control. It's super painful and makes nursing difficult because he chokes (scares the crap out of me). I'm pretty sure he also has reflux so eating in general is a battle. I refuse to give up on BFing yet because after our delivery and everything the two weeks after I have to hang on to something.
I will go back to work on Jan 18th and I'm not looking forward to it AT ALL. I keep pushing it from my mind since the next hurdle coming at me is tomorrow's surgery.

Evan is adorable! I hope everything goes smoothly tomorrow with the tongue surgery.
Boo for having to go back to work. Can you take any longer, it just seems like you've been through so much more than a "normal" (if there even is that) maternity leave entails.
THIS kills me - how in the world am I supposed to live through not feeding him from midnight until 7:30am when we go to the hospital!? It's going to be ROUGH tonight in the G household.

I've considered staying out longer but I think for us financially right now it's best that I just go ahead and get back since I have to take all of my sick days anyway. Our school system is totally lame and I can't even take any unpaid days until my sick days (and maybe personal days too - I have to double check on that) are gone.
Totally sucks but thankfully his daycare is directly across the street from my school.

Does he have a pacifier or will he suck on your finger? Sometimes just the sucking was a help, but i'm sorry you're having to do this. You're right though, it's for the best and he'll be glad it's done in the long run...my bro STILL is tongue tied and he hates it.

Princess - he'll suck his pacifier but we have to help him keep it in his mouth because of his tongue lol & omg you're18 weeks!?! I feel like that flew by!

Exactly this! You're right, they could be brothers.
He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be. He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.
