Balancing a schedule with being mobile?

I was hoping someone could share some wisdom on being mobile with twins at 7 months of age. Since we are doing solids now and alternating in bottles we are basically feeding them every two or three hours with naps inbetweeen. It just seems if they're not eating they're sleeping and I would like to go to visit people or to my niece's birthday party coming up and it seems like I really can't go for more than an hour and if I do the babies are cranky because it's their nap time. I'm just curious if I should just hang it up and realize I'm not going anywhere until they're older or if there is a way to do it so that we can do things and how to even do that. Xmas eve we tried to go to Olive Garden and feed them there...it was awful they are too big for infant carry seats and too small for the high chairs at the restaurant. I know we can't do everything we used to do but it'd be nice to get out once in a while with them. Any advice or hints?

  • I the same way and am hoping it gets better by the time the weather gets warmer.  I have a friend who's twins are almost a year and they take bumbos with trays with them for their LOs to eat in when they go out and I'm hoping we can try it in a couple months.

  • That would be great - we're out of bumbos....DS's legs are too fat to fit in the holes!!!!!
  • I'm probably no help!  I still have this issue.  The babies still take 2 naps a day.  It's so hard to be social!
