Moms TTC#2...

What are your thoughts on possibly getting pregnant with #2? I've waited quite awhile to start trying for #2 (my son is over 4). I'm not sure why, and constantly question myself...I guess I've just been so happy with the life my husband, son, and I have created. #2 would obviously 'shake' all that up.

I am excited...but also nervous, which I guess is a good place to be. No pressure...

Logan, my son, is SO ready though! It's cute. He says "Mom, I want to have a sister so then there will be 2 girls and 2 boys." He is all about symmetry. ;)

    It all depends on when your ready or if you want another.  My DH and I were so happy with DD we started trying 3 months after she was born.  Nothing yet, but can't wait for when it finally happens.

    I think it was an easy decision for me and DH because we are both close in age with our siblings and I want the same for my daughter. Plus my daughter loves being around babys and other kids so I pretty sure she will be more than happy with another baby in the house :)

    We wanted there to be a few years between our children.  We have a nearly 4 year old boy.  It's a personal decision.  We wanted time with our 1st one on one.  Plus I love how Ry is independent now and could help.  We started trying for a 2nd when he turned 3.  It's just taking a while.

    I'm nervous about the idea of 2u2, but DH and I want them to be close in age.  I'm no spring chicken, either (I'm 34, will be 35 next year).  With DD, it happened two weeks after going off BCP and I didn't chart at all.  This time around, going through the whole charting process is definitely making me more anxious.

    We started TTC #2 in November.  DS is almost 2yo, and we started ttc so they will be between 2-3 years apart in age.  My DH wanted to start trying in the summer, but I personally was not ready.  We recently moved out-of-state, and with all the stress that entails with a big move and including taking care of a toddler, my heart wasn't in it.  But now I know I'm ready, and I'm excited (but also nervous) for the new change and expanding the family.  I think it's totally normal to feel the way you do- I think you'll know when you're ready, and then you'll be excited to start the new journey.  GL!

    My DD is 14 months and we are starting next month (after our vacation). I wanted to wait for DD to be able to walk well by herself first before trying though I've been ready for a little while. She's really into babies right now but I know she'll be jealous. I just hope they are good friends if they are 2-3 yrs apart...

    Our son just turned 3 at the beginning of the month, and we are just now in the beginning stages of TTC #2. DH is on board because he knows that I really want another one. It wasnt the easiest of decisions for us, but we do want them sort of close together. I had an older brother and know how great it is to have a sibling, whereas DH was an only child and thought that was just fine! I am a little nervous about going through everything again with the pregnancy, newborn stage etc, but in the end it will all be worth it! Smile

    I am excited and scared at the same time. Things run so smooth now and I know how hard a newborn is.

    I am soooo ready for #2!!! I have been ready for almost a year now but we just started trying a few months ago certain life obstacles have been cleared and now we are so excited.  DS is such an amazing child and I hope that our next one is just as amazing.  I know that he will be a great big brother as he is a sweet ,caring child.  I am not worried about the "shake up" because I know that in the long run it will be great for him to have a sibling.

    Thank you! You know how I feel about your DD - she's adorable!  And I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I love her name.  It would def. be on my top 5 list if DH didn't already have a cousin with the same name.

    Well thanks!  Your DD's name is beautiful too!  I've never heard it before and is so unique which I'm all about.  What is your DD's birthday?  Not much far than my DD that's for sure!  I'm going to add you to my friends if you don't mind.  (and if I can figure it out!)

    DS was about 1.5 when we started TTC #2. I knew that I always wanted a second child, but DH wasn't sure until last Christmas. I also knew that I couldn't handle 2u2, but I was hoping they would still be relatively close in age. At this point, we're looking at a minimum of a 3 year age difference. I think that will be good for us, since DS is so much more independent now than he was a year ago and can be such a big help, but I'm hoping the age difference doesn't go too much more past 3 years.

    We always knew we wanted them close in age and honestly I am disappointed in myself for going back on birth control when DS was 3 months old...I should have just let whatever happened happened.  We went off BCP in November and I think I am nervous this time around...it took us 18 months for DS...hopefully won't take that long for #2...I might just pull my hair out if it does! Big Smile

    We started trying in November because we were hoping for a late summer baby.  I got pg with DS the first month trying, so so far TTC #2 has been discouraging because it hasn't happened as quickly.  Trying not to stress out because it's only cycle #3, but now they will be about 3 years or more apart, and I was hoping they would be closer in age.

    I would have been ok if we waited another year (after Aiden is 3) to TTC #2, but MH feels he is getting old (almost 38) ans he wants to enjoy the time with the kids when they get older.  Now that we are heading into cycle 5 I am happy we started when we did.  I can't wait to have another baby in the house!!
