Frustrated!! Vent

So according to my doctor i am 39 and 3 days.  Yesterday my favorite midwife stripped my membranes and stretched me to 3 cm.  She said she wouldnt be surprised if i went into labor that night or today.  I had timeable contractions since then but i went to sleep expecting to be woken up by painful contractions and nothing!  Now they are random again.  Its frustrating!!  I want to meet my son.  Has anyone had there membranes stripped and if you have how long did it take you to go into labor?  Thanks!!

    I had my membranes stripped (holy ouch) on a Tuesday and delivered on Friday morning. I swear I read somewhere back then that if you don't go into labor within 24 hours that it didn't really "work"...so I always assumed my labor started on its own and that the stripping didn't make any difference.
