Is that standard protocol for the RE office? The nurse mentioned it last time I was in there about getting me set up for it if that Femara cycle didn't work or the one I'll probably be starting this week.
I'm just curious if others have gone to one and what it was like.
Re: Anyone have to take a class on how to give injections?
We didn't.

yes, we had about an hour and a half class that went over our clinic's "rules" for IVF (no drinking while on stims, etc), a video tour of the lab and a video of how IVF is done. that was about 45 mins, then the remaining 45 mins was shots demos/instructions.
good luck!
No class at either of my RE offices.
I was given a dvd when I started using gonal-f for my 5th IUI and then the RN has personally shown me a few other things, today actually, for my IVF meds.

I had to take a class on injections, but it was for my hubby (he gets 3 shots a week of HCG for his low testosterone.) It was pretty easy...they just show you how to mix and give all the injections.
7lbs 13oz 20 inches long
We did. It was 4 hours and went over everything that happens during a cycle. It was a lot of repeat info for me, but if someone didn't know a lot it would be really helpful.
They did go over how they adjust doses to control follicles etc so that was interesting. We also did paperwork during the class.

We did, twice.
We went when we started injections for IUI and then we had a mandatory injection meeting for IVF.
It is suggested for our IVF, but it is not mandatory. We didn't have to do an injections class when I was just on Follistim and the Ovidril for our IUI's. They instructions are straight forward, so I'm not sure if they show anything else in the class.
