Testing out trigger ?

So I am stupid and it only occured to me the other day that I triggered this cycle and need to test it out if I want to test before 14 dpo. Of course, I then kept forgetting to go to the dollar store to get tests, I finally did today and will test starting tomorrow - 7 dp trigger (5 dpo). My question is how many days does it usually take for the trigger to test out? I used an ovridel shot if it matters. TIA!!

I think it is around 10-12 days. Make sure you test the trigger out and test for real using the same type (brand) of test.

Really? 10-12 days. I wasn't thinking it was that long. Thanks. I bought the dollar store brand tests I have used many other cycles. They are easy to get and every dollar store has them. I bought 7, so that should last me until 12 dpo. Guess I'll go grab a few more to have just in case.

I've heard of it being less days, but to be on the safe side I'd go with the 10-12. I didn't test mine out, but then again I don't really test early

I wish I didn't test early, but I can't help myself. Guess this means that even if I have a + HPT on New Years Eve it could mean nothing. I was trying to decide about drinking or not. Guess I'll just enjoy my champagne!!

I'm not a pee pusher, so I won't tell you to test. I've seen WAY too many negative test results when people test too early that end in a positive.

If I did my quick math correctly, you would be 10dpo on New Years? You could totally test (and I hope and pray it would be positive) but if it were me, I would enjoy my New Years knowing its still really early to test positive. Whatever you decide, my fingers are crossed for you hon! xoxo

Thanks sweetie!!! I will 9 dpo on New Years Eve and I guess it could still easily be the trigger then. I will start testing it out tomorrow just to see how it goes. But, I think there will be a couple of drinks with my name on them - lol.

I did a booster trigger last cycle 5dpiui and tested it out. Personally I will never do that again!! I was still getting positives at 11dp trigger and had myself convinced I was KU. Nope. That was such a huge crushing let down. The trigger can definitely stay in your system awhile. Good luck when you do test!
