i know a man who went to college for a year and dropped out. he went into law enforcement and is now set to become a lieutenant after about 15 years on the job. he's well respected in his department, supports his wife and 4 children, and is very happy.
i really dont think parents should push their kids into college. there are too many kids today that dont belong there, that have skills that could flourish in either a trade school or in some other field. education does not have to be only in the form of a degree.
