Success after IF

2nd beta

My second beta came back at 258, so I more than doubled Tuesday's 119!

DH & I are very excited, though the next couple of months will hold a lot of changes for us.  In February I am moving to Nashville to be near my family and DH is going to be deploying to Iraq for a year in the Spring.  You got that right, he's going to miss the birth and a good part of the baby's first year.  Crying  We talked about it prior to IVF and knew that we couldn't put it off until he comes home.  I'm 37 and we didn't want to have to wait until spring 2010 for his return to move ahead.  Fortunately, my parents and my brother and awesome SIL are all really excited for me to be so close.  It won't take the place of my DH, but it will help.

We are so excited to be pregnant, we hope this one sticks!

  • Great second beta!  You certainly do have lots of changes ahead, but it seems like you've made the best choices for yourselves and it will all pay off in the end.  I'm thrilled for you.  :-)
  • Thanks ladies!  It sure is nice to be over here!  :o)  There were many days when I thought it wouldn't happen!

It won't be easy with my DH gone, but he loves what he does and this is what he trains to do.  I am very, very fortunate in that I am moving to be near my family.  And, he's a career soldier, he's been in for 13.5 years.  Heck, he was deployed to Afghanistan when we met on line 3 years ago!  :o)

  • Wow, that is a bummer about your DH but it sounds like you 2 have it all planned out.  Congrats on your doubling beta!
