is it me or does formula smell bad?

We just did our first bottle of formula a few nights ago. I got really sick and my supply was low. When we opened up the bottle it smelled so ick. Is that normal? We used similac sensitive if it matters.

    We just tried formula for the first time too..and it was similac sensitive...it definitely smells YUCK!

    No- it smells pretty bad.  Oh, and it smells way worse if you let it sit in the bottle for a while instead of washing it out right away.... yuckkkk

    This. I got pregnant and my supply is non-existent now. We had to go formula. It also makes dd's breath not as sweet as it was w bm. :-(

    This.  I make DS's oatmeal with it and have gagged when rinsing out the bottle I mixed it in.

    I found a bottle in my car that HAD to have been three weeks old.  Grossness.

    We've never used formula for either of our girls but I babysat a friends baby a couple weeks ago and her formula literally made me gag. I had to change her clothes after I gave her a bottle because some of it got on her clothes and I really couldn't hold her smelling like that! YUCK!

    I use Good Start and the powder has barely any smell.  The RTF smells gross though.

    I tried a couple different kinds of Enfamil and Similac and they all smelled disgusting. Especially the RTF and Enfamil AR. I now use Baby's Only and occasionally Earth's Best. The EB has a very faint smell and the BO has no smell at all.
