Yes or no? I asked my anniversary board over on TN, and a couple of people seem to think that should I name my future child this (should it be a female) that she will be made fun of for her name. I didn't think of that, likely because no one would really call her Eleanora anyway--I'm sure the nickname Nora would be most often used.
Thoughts?

I read this post and then thought about it for a few minutes, said it outloud a couple of times and the decision is...... I REALLY like it.
Do you have any middle name thoughts?
Eleanor/Elinor is rising in popularity. It's not entering the Top 10 any time soon, but it's not unheard of either. I would think that Eleanora falls into that category as well.
We're going with Elinor nn Nora, and I've gotten more positive than negative feedback.
I love it.
I htink NOra is a good nickname too - I really disagree with a previous poster -- Nora is a very common nickname for Eleanor (and similar names). The author Nora Robert's real name is Eleanor.

Thanks for the responses everyone
I'm glad the feedback is positive.
For a middle name, I'd go with Christine after my mother. I like the sound of Eleanora Christine.
Brookelyn, that pronunciation is correct--well, per me anyway
