After 5 Hours in the ER....

Mason was diagnosed with a stomach virus. Over the past 24 hours, he has had 10 diarrhea filled diapers and has not been able to keep anything down. They rehydrated him with powerade and now he is snuggled in my arms asleep at home. My poor little man.... I feel so helpless.

I'm sorry... I can definitely understand how this goes. We were admitted for 6 days back in Sept for a stomach virus.
But I have to ask... powerade? Really? What happened to pedialyte? I thought those sports drinks had a ton of sugar?
I thought it was strange too, but they are one of the top children's hospitals in the south. I just figure the doctor has dealt with more babies and stomach issues than I have. The powerade I bought has 14 grams of sugar per 8 oz.... I think.
Yeah, I was curious about that too...
