Shoe question

Humor me.  MIL has bought shoes for M that are too big.  She tried to take them back and get some in her size but they didn't have any.  She says we can put cotton balls in the toes to make them fit.  They're a full size too big.  Do you think this will work?  It's for the Christmas dress she bought on top of the one that M already has (my vent from earlier in the week).  She'll FLIP if I don't put them on M but if they're too big M will just take them off for her.  Anyone have any experience with this kind of crazy?

    Wow, you MIL sounds like a lot of fun. :)  I think you are right, M is going to realize that her shoes are too big and will take them off.  If it is worth humoring your MIL and you don't mind her running around shoeless, it probably won't hurt, but I certainly wouldn't want to wear shoes with cotton balls in the toes.

    It's making me stabby.  She just called again to discuss the shoes and how she's making them fit.  Shoot me.

    I just had to get ugly over what time we were going to church.  Christmas should not be this hard.  She's nuts.

    I wouldn't put them on her.  If they're too big, then they're going to flip flop on her feet and she'll take them off - or she'll trip over them and possibly fall.  I wouldn't risk it and just put her in shoes that you already have.  Sorry you have a crazy MIL that wouldn't listen to you in the first place!

    oh my gosh......i would just say sorry the shoes dont fit and she'll have to wear ones that actually do fit.  You dont want her tripping and falling just because MIL wanted her in the shoes she bought - disgusting!

    hm I'd probably have them on her when you arrive (humor her) and maybe get a picture with them on, and then bring a pair for her to change into that she actually run in without tripping.
