Love my new doc

I needed to find a new family doc, so today I went and omg she is amazing!  I went in for simple stuff for my migraines, but told her about DD not sleeping since it affects my headaches, and it was like seeing a therapist.  Her first LO slept as bad as DD does and she is honestly the first doc to not only believe me, but ask how am I doing with that, how am I handling it, do I need anything.

She voiced things that I was actually ashamed to admit or had just tried to avoid, but she knew because she had been there.  I've seen a couple docs before her and all they've said is well, either let her cry or sounds like not much you can do guess you'll just have to deal with it.  I have really felt like I couldn't reach out for help b/c there was nobody that would listen or offer any real help if I needed it.  I really wish doctors, even pedis, would ask how mothers are handing just being mothers, our well-being affect so much more than just ourselves.

Re: Love my new doc

  • That's great!  I am super picky about care providers, and this is exactly how I feel about our new pedi, and how I feel about my midwives!

  • Ditto what Miller said - what part of town is this doc in?
  • I'm in Dayton, she's in the Beavercreek area around Rt. 35.

Really?  Who is she, if you don't mind?  We need to find new docs plus I feel like I should go back on daily meds for my headaches.  I'd love to find a family doc/GP who will treat me.  You can send a PM if you don't want to post her name.
    Here ya go!
