feel awful...LO bumped head

Has anyone else's baby hit their head by accident? LO jerked his head forward really fast while my husband was holding him earlier and he smacked his poor little forehead on a plate on the table in front of him.  it was REALLY loud though.  DH swears he hit the plate and not the table and that's what made the noise.  he cried out but was easily consoled and seems normal now.  i cried more than him and now i'm having anxiety about it and feel terrible.  :(

    i know, you always feel terrible after something like that, but it's going to happen some day.

    Yesterday at the doc, my LO head butted my wedding ring and got a nice big scratch under his nose. He didn't cry for more than a min, but I felt terrible. So I totally understand but they'll be fine. Just wait til lil boys get older and come home with a skinned knee or black eye Stick out tongue

    DS head butts me and my mom in the chin mulitple times a day, he never seems to feel it but it sure hurts us!!  He also took a faceplant out of his swing one day.. and like you said.. I cryed more than he did.

    This is nothing compared to what they will put us through later.. boys will be boys...

    I have a head butter too, I warn people all the time to be careful.  Mainly because it doesn't seem to faze him but it can take you by surprise.  Its usually not that bad where he hurts himself but the other day he did get a little bruise.  I try to be really careful so he doesn't make contact.

    When DS was first born, I was holding him as we called my parents to tell them we had the baby.  As I brought the phone from my husband's hand to my ear, I knocked DS on the noggin' hard enough that he cried.  I felt SO horrible - he wasn't even an hour old and I already hurt him!  But the nurse reassured me that they're tough little buggers and that his head had just gone through a lot more 'trauma' than a little bump on the head.

    My DD likes to head butt whenever we burp her and once she head butted me hard enough to hurt my jaw. She wasn't even phased.

    Also my SS's baby took a small fall to the floor (from a lap) and he was absolutely fine. They are more resilient than we gave them credit for.
