We had a lab appointment this morning. Kate's blood draw was horrible as was my entire morning (I lost my wallet, started my period after being super late and getting my hopes up about a surprise BFP, and was way emotional about this whole situation).
They were drawing pre-op blood work as well as a liver panel that her GI requested. As always, the did a CBC.
Well, Kate's neutraphils (the main concern throughout this entire ordeal) increased substantially for the first time in 2 months!!! Her levels are still not in the normal range but they almost doubled which is amazing!
So, here's the best news - her bone marrow biopsy was CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kate's hematologist isn't comfortable doing such an invasive procedure anymore since her levels are finally rising and she is asymptomatic.
We have a follow up appointment January 3 to see the doctor and run more labs. If her levels continue to rise, we will most likely just keep monitoring her until we have a reason to take action (such as an infection).
Her liver panel did so some elevated levels and the hematologist and GI are discussing them this afternoon. I'm hoping it isn't anything too serious.
I am just so happy to finally catch a break - maybe it is just a little break - but to me this is huge. And, I cannot tell you how awesome it is to not be worrying about my sweet baby girl having a biopsy.
Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers - they are working!!!

Fantastic fantastic fantastic!!! It might not be huge, but it's a huge step in the right direction. You gotta start somewhere, right? I hope this is the beginning of the end of this nightmare for you.
I hope the liver panel is decided to be of no concern and that her neutraphils keep rising. Yay!
