Post IVF ovary pain

I had a ton of eggs at ER (25) and was in a fair amount of pain (Doc sent me home with an Rx for pain). 

Fast forward and I am still in a lot of discomfort.  If I shift, sit hunched over or stand too quickly, I'm having a sharp, shooting pain on my right or left side (rarely both).  The pain comes from which ever side is being more stretched.  It's very low, clear ovary pain.  I'm having minor/med ute cramps and they def. pick up afterwards.

The pain is terrible at night.  I toss and turn a lot and every time the pain wakes me up.  It's not prolonged pain, but if feels like a "catch" or something.  Not sure how to describe. I'm not (overly) concerned about ectopic, as it's both sides (not at the same time usually). 

Thoughts?

    I had 28 eggs retrieved and I was in soooo much pain.  Mine was overall crampy on both sides.  I was crying due to pain for about a week after retrieval.  They said to watch out for sharp pain (constant) on one side.  They said it would feel like you have been run over by a bus and that would be your ovary twisting due to OHSS.  As long as that didn't happen to drink gatorade and rest.  I found it so painful overall and I have way more appreciation for women who do IVF more than once.  GL.

    I did a frozen transfer this time and I have the same thing...and did with my last pregnancy too... although not to the point where I would say the pain is terrible and keeps me up at night.  But shooting pain and cramps when moving fast etc...

    Ick - are you bloated? Could it be OHSS? I had that, but it was more  discomfort/bloating than sharp pains...

    With both IVF cycles I had pretty severe ovary pain after retrieval.  But I also had a mild case OHSS with both cycles.  

    Do you have OHSS?

    I am inclined to think that you might, I know I am late responding to this but I would suggest you contact your RE just to be on the safe side.
