Fisher Price seahorse. Is it that good?

I still have to get my 3 month old a Santa gift. I have heard lots about he seahorse on here. So I was thinking of getting it. If you have it, what do you think of it ? Yes or no? Thanks, Ladies!

Re: Fisher Price seahorse. Is it that good?

  • I just got it for DS last week and it's pretty good. Not as magic as I had hoped, but it entertains him sometimes when nothing else will.

  • Some nights we would be lost without this! She's starting to not need it as much, but at 3-4 months the seahorse was super important. It's my new baby shower gift!

  • Puts LO to sleep every night... If she is starting to stir at night, I turn it back on and she's out again.

  • Thanks Everyone!
  • Shelby the Seahorse works wonders for us. DD loves listening to the music when laying her crib and starting at the light. It puts her to sleep within like 2 mins. It goes everywhere with us! LOL Its great for night time car rides too because our window tint is very very dark and DD doesnt like it too be like pitch black so its a little nightlight for her during the car ride. I would recommend it! plus its on sale at BRU right now... atleast at the one here LOL
  • LO was never really interested in it.  To me, it was kind of a waste of money.

  • I found ours at a kids resale shop for about $3.50 each. Our kids love them...or at least I think they do. We just keep them in their cribs and squeeze it when we put them down at night. We put them down drowsy but awake, and we very rarely have issues with them falling asleep. If they wake up at night we go in, pat them on the belly, squeeze the sea horse, and they fall back asleep. They don't really play with it but it's a nice and easy way to soothe them. I also think they like the soft light because they'll turn to it when we squeeze it. And, sometimes we use it to locate a pacifier that's gone astray in the crib. :-)
  • I know a lot of ladies on here rave about how it helps put LO to sleep. It did not help mine do that. However, it keeps him entertained for some time.

  • I like baby Violet better because she plays music or environmental sounds for either 10 or 20mins
  • we have the seahorse and a soother that hangs on the crib...LO has very little interest in the seahorse but she loves the soother
  • I bought one for DD from Santa too, i'm hoping she'll like it, i have heard mixed feelings about them but i figure it's worth a try! She might end up loving it and it could soothe her. Crossing my fingers for us haha!
