LMAO. I have none, and will do my best to avoid the dollar store this weekend. I might test on Christmas after we take DD to her dad's; I might just wait the extra day to make it to 17dpo...I haven't decided yet.

I have decided that if I am not KU this cycle I am going to do a fast between Christmas and New Year's. I could stand a good detox.

I am right now wrestling with the idea of peeing on Thursday (this would be 14DPegg retrieval - so aka 14DPO)

Sorry if I missed it or it's none of my business but how many did you transfer? When are they doing betas?

We transferred 1 and my beta is scheduled late because of the holiday closures. So it should be the 23rd or 24th (by my calculations) but it is not until the 29th and who knows when I will get results because the sample gets sent off and then when the results do come back they need to be faxed to the clinic and they have weird hours between Christmas and the new year. This is the only reason why I am considering POAS.

If I didn't work all day I would drive an hour to a clinic that actually does the Beta test in house instead of doing it at the hospital when they don't do the test there.

Oh good grief. If they aren't going to get you an answer until practically next year, why bother with betas? At that point it will be rather obvious. ETA: never mind, maybe not because of meds, but seriously, they ant expect you to wait that long.

If I lived where the clinic is it would be simple. I would go for my beta on the 29th and they would get the result right away. But since that is 7 hours away, I will be doing the blood test here.

I live in a small town and while most of the tests are done in house at the lab here, unfortunately the Beta HCG is not one of them.

I am ignorant in the ways of IVF, but isn't it possible to get a BFP because of the trigger? Don't you need to "pee it out" I think is the term before you can consider it a true BFP?

Or am I thinking of something else?

No, you are completely right. The trigger is HCG and it stays in your system for a while. (they say about 7-14 days)

I checked the other day and I got a BFN so I know it is out of my system. I didn't want to but I was too in my head and had to do it for reassurance that if I do decide to POAS before my beta that I will know it is not the trigger still in my system.
