A close friend of mine has a daughter who is turning 2 next month. We don't really exchange Christmas gifts, but this is the first year the little girl is really beginning to understand about the holiday and I thought I might get her something small (I don't want to make my friend feel awkward since as I said, we don't generally exchange gifts). The daughter has tons of toys and books and I'm already planning on getting her clothes for her birthday in a few weeks.
When I was really little, I LOVED stickers and I had a sticker book, so I thought something like that might be fun. Is it a good idea? Or hopelessly lame? Do 2-year-olds these days want cell phones and Twitter accounts for Christmas and stickers are something only an old boring person would think of?
Re: poll: is this totally lame?

I voted for stickers because
-- You can NEVER go wrong with stickers!
-- It's a small enough gift that your friend won't feel bad
-- STICKERS!!!
