Healthy Gain - Friday Exercise Check-In

Hi ladies,

Everyone striving to maintain a healthy weight gain during this pregnancy is encouraged to share the workouts they accomplished this week.  Tell us about:

(1) what you did each day to exercise,

(2) any modifications you made to accommodate the "challenges" (read: exhaustion) of the first tri, and

(3) what you have planned for next week.

  • (1) T & R i did 30 min on my elliptical and lifted weights.

     W - 20 min Elliptical

    (2) I have toned down my workouts for the days where I'm super exhausted. I also have split my workouts up so it may be 15 min and then do 15 min later.

    (3) Eating protein, working on strengthening my body w/low impact workouts.

     1) what you did each day to exercise? I was bad this week and only did a 45 min Zumba class on Monday night.  I am also missing class tonight because I have plans with my BFF.  I didnt just sit around though, I had lots to do at home.

    (2) any modifications you made to accommodate the "challenges" (read: exhaustion) of the first tri, and I toned down the bouncing/jumping during class, drank more water, and I took a break for one song to use the bathroom and cool down

    (3) what you have planned for next week. I am planning to do at least my normal 2 classes.  I might try to jump on the elliptical for a little each day.  I know we will be crazy with holiday prep so we will see.

  • I'd like to join the group! I didn't exercise this week because of work (too tired since I got home late), but will next week!

  • This week I've only done alright with the exercising. Got in 35 min on the elliptical both Mon and Tue nights, but didn't make it to the gym Wed as we were at the doctor's for 2 hours (getting our first peek at baby!) and I was exhausted after that. Yesterday I'd planned to go to a lunctime Zumba class but I had brutal m/s (first time I've vomited), so laid low the rest of the day. Hoping to make it to the gym at least once over the weekend but we'll see how it goes with all the holiday prep!

  • (1) took an hour walk yesterday

    (2) per doctor walking and swimming only

    (3) I would like to take a walk every night after work but that was my plan this week too.

  • Elliptical for 45 minutes 3 times this week and Tracy Andersons workout video at home 2x45 minutes for this week, planning on the same for next even though I'm m/s a lot this second time around.
  • I was so sick with a cold this week that i didn't do anything!  I'm looking forward to doing Yoga and Pilates soon though!
