My older child had brachycephaly, torticollis. She was in PT for 6 months and when we started it, basically had very little core strength. I had been really bad about making her do tummy time, and boy....did we pay the price. She was in a helmet for 6 months and as 13 months when she crawled for the first time.
With the twins, we have been diligent about tummy time. They are only on their back in the crib when sleeping, or in the bouncer (which I try to limit since I know the bouncer can be a culprit). The poor babies have so much tummy time that they are probably planning some sort of revolt. But regardless, their heads are still showing major flat spots. His head is pretty flat in the back, and she has a flat spot on the side.
We have tried the tricks....putting them on different ends of the changer, moving their position in the crib (well, except for him since his crib is elevated). We switch feeding arms, use the play mat, the boppy...everything. Any advice?
Re: Flat Heads No Matter What I Do...
Have you tried this?

I would use it in teh car seat, the play mat, the bouncy seat, etc...
One of my boys still has a bit of flat head, but I think that's just the shape of his head (like his dad's!) and also from how he was in utero...his identical brother has a pretty round head. I did the same with both and one just has a rounder head...so sometimes I think their heads are just a certain way.
