Funny way of finding out you're pregnant..

This is the craziest thing ever, but i actually found out i was pregnant a little over a week before i was supposed to have my period.. i went to a fourtune teller and she had told me if i wasnt already pregnant i was soon going to be! so i went home and took 3 tests and they all said positive!

anyone elese have any crazy ways they found out?

I found out 10dpo, about a week before my period too- but no fortune teller for me. Just fertilityfriend.com and a bunch of IC tests.

Guess that's not particularly interesting, but it was exciting nonetheless.

A good friend of my mother's told me I looked pregnant just by looking at my face. This was at the end of September. In October, a couple days before I finally caved and tested, a client at my work for no particular reason asked me if I was. This is what prompted me to test, as having two people predict that I was pregnant was just uncanny!

I had gone to my midwife because my cycle was WAY overdue and I kept getting negatives on the pregnancy tests. She did a blood test to be sure and I found out I was just a couple weeks pregnant!

I wish I had a fortune teller tell me!! Reading faint lines on test was so draining!

Not so funny, but I'lls till share my story:

I had been testing twice a day since 8DPO Embarrassed . My last BFP was on day 9, so when I made it to day 10, I knew it was now or never! I woke up early, took a test, waited, it was negative. I got into the shower and cried Crying Really, I balled.

When I got out, the test was still sitting there, and I *thought* I saw something, I had heard about evap lines, but it didn't seem like it had been long enough?

So, I peed in a cup and took two more test and woke DH up to look at all three! He *thought* he saw a line on one.
On my way to work, I bought FR and took both at work. Both have SUPER faint lines.
After work I bought two digitals and took one in the bathroom at the lab where I was getting blood work! It said 'Pregnant!" I cried again.

I took the second digital when I got home with DH.

So after 7 test in one day, I finally believed I was Pregnant again!

I was getting a cyst removed, went for pre-op and the doc thought I was weird for being calm about missing 2 periods? last year around the same time I missed 5 and had blood tests and I wasn't preggo, so I figured same thing.

So she did a blood test and called me the next day. I was sitting on the bed talking to DH when I got the call and started crying (scared/excited/shocked). DH was like what what what?!?! So I just pointed at my stomach and watched his face drop in misbelief haha!

We sat and talk for a min then got really excited and called EVERYONE!

Everyone at work informed me that I'm strange b/c I told them right away, said people usually wait until 2nd tri... well my uterus is a tank so I knew my babe wasn't going anywhere

My husband and I got married 08/28/10, we wanted a family so badly we started trying in May...so May, June, July and August pass and no dice. I was charting so I knew I would be O'ing on our honeymoon and told everyone on TTGP to keep their fingers crossed for our honeymoon baby. My close friend who knew we were trying gave me preseed and pregnancy tests as my day of wedding gift lol. We used the preseed and had lots of fun on our honeymoon without the stress of wedding planning or thinking about "making a baby"....When we got home I tested at 11DPO negative and drank a bottle of wine....13DPO negative I cried and drank another bottle of wine. Finally my period was due that Friday and I had one more test left and knew that was it. I woke up at 3am because I had to pee really bad and I saw a line, my hands started shaking and I ran into the bedroom telling my DH that I think we're pregnant..I took the digital and as he walked into the bathroom it said pregnant! I could not believe we got our honeymoon baby! I'm still in shock lol! So yeah that was the last time we had sex.....2 weeks after our wedding lol

With is pregnancy we planned it so no crazy story there just alot of testing and trying until it happened. With DS, DH and I weren't married yet but living together. Because of an old injury from his Marine Corps days we thought that we wouldn't be able to have children, so we weren't preventing anything. Then for Memorial Day weekend we and a bunch of our friends went to the lake. I wasn't feeling all that great all weekend, but thought it was vertigo, because the symptoms were similar. But on the last day I feel even worse and got sick in the car or the way home. One of our friends kept saying that I was pregnant and it wasn't vertigo. I thought that there was no way because I had had what I thought was my period that week. But just to satify our curiosity I tested anyway and sure enough it was positive. DH and I were so surprise/scared/excited all at the same time. Him especially since he never thought he would be able to have any.

My DH actually found out before me! We had been trying for over a year so even though I was late and knew we had timed things well according to my charts, I had convinced myself there was no way we were pregnant. Even so, I took the test but I just left it in the bathroom and went to get a coffee or breakfast. Came back a few minutes later and there he was, grinning at me Big Smile

. It took me a few minutes to catch on so he has a bunch of pictures of me looking confused and slowly getting more excited.

I didn't find out before my missed period, but I should because I had two signs! Not only was I more exhausted than usual (I get really tired the week before my period), my boobs were already getting bigger. DH and I got our puppy around the time I conceived, so we actually thought he was the reason for my boobs growing. We had recently watched a documentary about the very beginning of domestication of wolves, and it said that wolf pups whose mother had been killed could be nursed by human women who didn't even have young children at the time. Something about the puppy woke up that maternal instinct in their bodies that produces the milk. So DH and I were thinking it was something like that. Of course, we found out later that our pup had nothing to do with it

I had a dream I was pregnant. The next day I was driving by Walgreen's so I stopped in and got a pregnancy test, and sure enough, I was pregnant! Little did I know then that I was already 8 weeks pregnant! I hadn't had a period for almost a year due to athletic amenorrhea, so I hadn't "missed a period" like most people. Needless to say, I was shocked and very excited!

When I woke up the morning of 8 dpo DH told me I had to test. He was very adminant. He said he had a dream that I was pregnant and he said it was just so real that he knew it was true. I was very skeptical and figured at 8dpo I would test negative regardless. So I PIAC and got into the shower, DH dipped the ICs and said, "there is a line" I responded, "I know DH that is the control line, there has to be two lines" He says "THERE IS TWO LINES!" and flips open the shower curtain. I made him dip two more ICs and a FRER then a digi, one of the ICs came back neg but all the others were positive. DH's dream was right!

My BFF had a dream that I was pregnant while my mom and grandma were in town. I had to wait almost a week until they were gone to test(since I had the week off, they went everywhere with me.) Sure enough, it said 'Pregnant'!

And this is why my BFF is LO's Godmother!

My DH told me I was pregnant. It was about time for AF and I had been cramping, had sore boobs, and major mood swings, so I figured it would be soon. I said something to DH about it and his response was "you aren't going to get your period because you're pregnant." I told him he was crazy but the next morning I took a digital to prove him wrong and got a BFP, so I ended up proving myself wrong haha.

We had tried for this little creature for nearly a year and in August we said "screw it!". We went on vacation; started making plans to get all our remodeling done this winter and planned to try again for a baby after the house was done.

I don't even remember having sex in August. Embarrassed We were totally "done" trying and making other plans. I think we just needed a break from the all the frustration and pressures we put on ourselves.

So early September comes & goes and at this point my period still had the possibility of showing up. Cycle varied from 28-32 days. I started to get a little excited because even though we were "done" trying for awhile we still wanted a baby!

I started spotiing on days 30 & 31 and figured okay period will show any minute now ... nope! So I started running all these statistical analysis' on my past cycles and the percentages of periods on 28 days, 29 days, etc and when my last 31-32 day cycle was ... yeah I'm a total geek.

I told DH husband that we had a 6% chance of it showing up on day 32; however my period always just starts; I've never spotted, let alone for two days. We had dinner date on Saturday and on the way home I asked DH if we could stop at the store and pick up some tests for Sunday morning. He was being a turd and said lets just wait until next weekend and see what happens; the store isn't open anyway. Ahh ...!!!

So we drive past the store and they're open! We pull in, we run in, buy the tests and go home. I slept like crap all night because I was really excited for morning to come. I wake up at like 300am and take the test - positive!

Finally! We had to stop "trying" and just let God's plan happen. Geeked It's not a super funny way of finding out, but I do crack up about my analysis' when I think about that.

Ours was a total fluke of finding out. I was so sick in August and only had sex like 3 times the whole month, and it was all just to keep dh happy cause I was not feeling it at all. Then one night I got into a huge fight with DH over something stupid and cried for HOURS. I started thinking about it and realized AF was 2 days late. The next day I stopped by the store and picked up a box of test and figured that I would take one it would come back neg and I would start. So I PIC and went back to playing Dr. Mario on the wii. After I beat the level I looked down and it was positive. I thought there must be something wrong so I took the other 2 tests in the box and they were pos too. I call DH and told him to come home right after work instead of going out with his friends. He thought I was still mad from the night before but came home anyway. I tild him I needed to fix something in the bathroom, and he got his big doofy grin on his face and knew right away. He was so excited, and then tells me that he guess that I took all 3 test cause it would be a while till I would need to buy any more.
