Hi there, so sorry it took me so long to respond. I come on about once a day at work for just a short break and then usually take a look before bed. At home I use an ipad though and I guess it isn't compatible with this site since it will not allow me to type responses or post.
Anyhoo, so I actually am having my OBGYN do the IUI's because it is less expensive and while she isn't an RE, (please people don't whip me for this), she does have an emphasis in reproductive disorders. She is at Minor and James Medical in the Nordstrom Tower so they just have my husband go to Pacific NW Fertility for his part and they do the sperm wash/analysis, then I hand carry it over the skybridge back to the Nordstrom Tower and we do the IUI. My OB has also been able to do a lot of the IF and RPL bloodwork and codes it as diagnostic, (since that is what it is), rather than me going to the RE and having the same BW completed that would of course be declined as IF. Once we have done 3 IUIs with her (assuming that we are not successful), I intend to move over to SRM, (Seattle Reproductive Medicine). I actually know several people who were treated there, (and one who went there after she didn't like her experience at PNWF), so I am very confident that when I move on I will be in great hands. They all have babies now!
Let me know if you want to chat about any of this stuff. It's nice to talk to someone who is local. Good Luck to you!

Re: *amandaleigh*
Hi Sarah, Thanks for writing me back so soon! I am just past 6 mos of no BPF with trying, and just had the husband get himself checked out. Results are pending, but I imagine I will want to also get myself fully checked out too, though I want to make it as insurance friendly as possible. I have reason to believe that I have endometriosis issues, which I think I can use to my favor for diagnostic purposes. I am concerned that if I go investigate my endo possibilites at a fertility clinic I might get automatically declined for insurance purposes, since they say up front they cover nothing of that. So, would you think that your OB is up to doing the work up that people normally have done at a RE? I would be totally willing and happy to go that route, especially if it meant that I could get it covered by insurance. And, if and when it came to more, I could get myself over to SRM. It turns out that the husband is already dealing with them with the SA-- he was lucky enough to do the business at home since they are located close by.
It is good to talk to someone local-- I don't know anyone here I can ask these types of questions!
