I know that at 5 weeks, it is a little too young for a sleep schedule.... but I want to see other peoples opinions on my little guys schedule. Well he isnt much on one, he sleeps most of the day at 2-3 hour increments. I dont wake him up when he is napping. The only thing that stays pretty much the same is that the last couple of weeks he has started getting fussy around 6-8 pm and wont sleep until around midnight(sometimes 1 or 2 am). Then at midnight he will sleep 5-7 hours.. which is great.. but I am worried about when I got to work. I need to wake up at 4 am, so I need to get him to bed earlier. Anyone have any opinions? Thanks!

Re: sleep "schedule" for 5 week old
When do you go back to work? I ask because his schedule will probably change by then, so if you try something now, it might be fruitless.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...
We started having a set bed time around 3-4 weeks, so I don't think it's too early. What worked for us was trying to keep DD up the last few hours before bed, with only like a 10 min nap if she needs it. This helped so much!
Also, babies usually can sleep 12 hours for their "night time" so if you plan for LO to be up at 4 with you, I'd make bedtime around 4 or 5.
All babies are different though. I'm just telling you what works for us.
