So now after the sad miscarriage I am dealing with the medical bills from my DnC. I just got a bill for 10k and thats just the first one. I feel lost dealing with these people. They have no idea how difficult it is to argue about the cost of losing your baby.
Is anyone else dealing with this??

Re: s/o insurance
I am so sorry - it's like salt in the wound, huh? I haven't received the bills yet but I'm sure they're on their way. I owe 10% of the costs after insurance pays and I know my d&c bill will be close to 1000 out of pocket. Sucks that this is happening in December since I will probably reach my out of pocket max for the calendar year and then January 2011 will be right around the door. Oh well.
Have you talked to your hospital about a payment plan? I have heard that some will allow pretty small monthly payments so that might help. I'm so sorry about the financial burden of all this. Also, make sure that they coded the procedure correctly. I've heard of some people getting a small decrease in cost b/c the procedure was coded as elective...insane. Good luck and remember to breathe deeply when speaking to them.
