PSA - New Profile Settings

If you are unhappy about your location showing up in your profile, please email membersupport@thenest.com with the subject "Privacy Policy" in the subject line. The mods have asked for feedback on how to fix this issue, but have not heard back yet. In the mean time, here is another option for you.

As stated previously, if you want your profile set to private, when you click on your name and avatar, then click on "settings" in the right corner. If you set everything to private, others won't be able to see any of the tabs, which means they won't be able to see your recent posts either.

When you go back to check, don't worry, you will still be able to see all of your info, but no one else will.  Also, if you set your previous profile to private, you will have to do it again with the format change over.

    I'm still trying to figure out why they thought it would be a good idea to make it not optional to show your location. That seems like an important sort of option to give people.

    Also, what if I want my location private, but would like to put info in my profile? If the only way to hide my location is to hide the whole profile...that is really dumb.

    I didn't even notice that the profile changed.  I don't think it's a good idea to show your location or at least not offer the option to make it private.

    Hmmm, I can't see my new profile even when I click "see public profile".  I see other people's.  I *think* the Bump still has me listed as living in Los Angeles (someone can go check, maybe), but if that is the case, then I would go in and just change your location to something less specific, if you want that to be private, but want your profile to be public.

    Ok, that's where I used to live.  I never updated it.  So I guess you can just go in and enter any location.
