my DS has really bad chapped cheeks. from our lovely north FL winds im assuming. im looking for a baby ski mask. kinda scary i know, but i gotta do something, little man looks like he is in pain. i already put lotion, and vasaline and whatever else i can find, its getting better, but im trying to prevent it from happening. i try to carry him so his face isnt exposed, but he just fights me off.
are these even made and if so where can i find one?
Re: norhtern mommas please come in (clothing ?)
I've never seen them before, and my guess is they're probably not made for little babies because they can easily get twisted and block their nose/mouth and they don't have the coordination to fix it or alert someone that they can't breathe.
I've been using California Baby Calendula Cream on DD's chapped cheeks and it helps a TON.
Ski masks for babies are made, I would check out amazon or some other online retailer to find one and opt for expedited shipping.
In the mean time, have you tried Badger Balm or Udder Butter on his cheeks? As a New Englander, I fight off chapped hands and face all winter, and Badger Balm has stopped my cracking and bleeding ( no fun, I know, but it comes with the territory).
I take care not to have DS out for any length of time in winter, really just from the house to the car and then car to wherever.
I hope this helps.
