If your LO is currently on a hypoallergenic formula and has been diagnosed with reflux, do you think the formula is helping? And is your LO on meds as well?
She is on Zantac and we are trying the enfamil AR instead of alimentumbecause the alimentum was so thin it seemed like it was coming up so easily and the AR is heavier. It's only been a day but she is spitting up less so far and doesn't seem as uncomfortable. But AR isn't hypoallergenic so if your LO needs that you should stay with it
Our LO just started with Enfamil AR yesterday and it seems to be helping already. She hasn't spit up once yet! A question for those you are using Enfamil AR... what kind of bottles do you use? We use playtex drop-ins with slow flow nipples and the formula is so thick it barely comes out.... had to make the hole a little bigger and it still seems to take her a little longer to drink.... the fast flow are still too fast. Suggestions?

nothing is really helping us. she has been on zantac, that was a fail. 1.5mlX2 a day of prevacid=fail.
now 2mlX2 daily. this is helping for now.
she is on alimentum for allergies. seems like she has a milk or soy protein allergy. So they seem to be unrelated. we are going to a GI dr on Thur for testing.
Re: Reflux and Hypoallergenic Formula
This EXACTLY. We are still on the Alimentum, but really....it's the med that is saving us.
