Sh!t, my tree fell over

I just finished crying and swearing up a storm. My 8 ft real christmas tree just fell over. Of course it was full of water.  All my presents are wet. Sh!t, sh!t, sh!t!!!!! 

 Thank g0d I was home or all our presents would be ruined. I pushed the tree as much as I could to pull out the presents, I hope I got them all.  Pine needles everywhere, water on the carpet. Just what I need, more house work to do today.

Thanks for listening, I hope this does not happen to anyone.

    happened to us twice... stupid tree!!  at least we didn't have presents under it yet.  hope yours didn't get ruined!

    This happened to us 3 times, when we were first putting out tree up!  Sorry! Finally I thought of a fantastic idea, weigh down the less strong side with weights, we used my hand weights and a few rocks, hasn't fallen since.  Hope that helps!

    Oh no!!  I'm sorry--I hope your ornaments are okay!

    Ours wouldn't stay straight either and we ended up using fishing line to tie it to two different spots in the room.  Classy.

    That's awful!!! Sad I hope your day has gotten better. I miss having real trees but I guess the fake ones have some benefits.  Hopefully your presents were all fine and you were able to get the tree stable.

    I'm sorry, but when I read this I had to laugh!! BELIEVE me, I'm not laughing at you, but the same thing happened to us when we were kids at my Grandma's house and it fell on my sister!! I just got a visual of my sister who was probably 7 or 8 at the time trying to hold the tree up with her underneath it all dressed up and crying on Christmas day!! LMAO
