I make all of LO's food and want to start giving her meat. Just wondering how you ladies do it; can you even freeze if after you puree it? Do you just give them small pieces or puree it? Also, what kind and how often? Thanks!

I have given DS a LITTLE piece of a roast I made. Thanksgiving he had turkey. I just give him small enough pieces that he can swallow it with no problem. He will chew on it for a bit then swallow it and has done fine.
All of my life I have been waiting for all you give to me
You
I give C meat purees but she also likes to gnaw on a chicken "strip" (broiled skinless piece of chicken breast). I usually take a small piece of whatever we are eating (tilapia, beef, chicken, or even tofu), cook it with only olive oil and maybe one or two herbs, and puree it with a veggie.
Wholesomebabyfood.com says you can freeze meat purees as long as the meat you were pureeing wasn't previously cooked, frozen, and then thawed for use in the puree you intend to freeze. I haven't frozen any personally.

I cooked some ground turkey in water, then added applesauce and pureed it. I tasted it and thought it was awful (sorta gritty) but DD loved it! It's safe to freeze, according to my baby food cookbook.

I refuse to puree meat. The thought of it grosses me out. So I just give her pieces to eat. We do a mix of purees and BLW anyway so we just focused on BLW when it came to meat.

I used a recipe from Top 100 Baby Purees which was chicken, sweet potato & apple cooked in chicken broth (made my own, salt-free). Then I pureed that, slightly more chunky than normal purees.

This. I could never bring myself to give either of the girls pureed meat.

This! Exactly!
