Babies: 0 - 3 Months

**Sookie**

::appologizes to 0-3 girls for posting this on their board::

Talk to me about Lily's solids these days.  Is she still on Level 1 foods twice a day?  Do you still mix in cereal and/or BM?  What all has she tried so far?

Just curious.  Now that I know that B needs to eat more I'm starting to feel a little adventurous about what I might offer her.

I love it, too!  I haven't seen Mia in glasses before--she looks great!

She is still on Level 1, twice a day but I am thinking I'm going to have to buy the level 2's pretty soon here. She doesn't seem satisfied with the little level 1 jars from Gerber and Earth's Best, and she blows through the little plastic tubs of level 1 Gerber organic stuff. Last night she got so fussy we gave her a full bottle of BM and then 2 servings of peaches before she finally calmed down and got happy again, lol.

Thus far, she has had and enjoyed: Bananas, pears, sweet potatoes, peaches, apples, prunes, sweet peas, green beans, and squash, all typically mixed with a little BM and oatmeal. She had her first fruit with no BM or oatmeal last night and did really well and her tummy handled it fine. She's had avocados but hated them. :P

Nikki--IKR! B is getting so big!!

So is amount the only difference between level 1 and level 2?  If so I guess B needs to stay at level one--she doesn't always get through her jars.  Did you prepare the avocado yourself or does that come packaged?  I haven't seen it, but I'd like for B to try it.

We've started doing just fruit for her evening meal--so far just apples which seem to be her favorite.  Yesterday I tried peas with just BM (no cereal) and it made her really gassy. But she liked it!

Thanks! Yeah, she just got them last week. I think they look cute on her too. :)

I think there is more food in level 2 than level 1. I won't put her on whole wheat cereal yet because I'm afraid it will upset her tummy, but as far as the OTHER stuff that says "sitter," well, the ones that indicate supported sitter just ain't cutting it anymore! :P

Yeah, I'd move up to level 2 once B finishes a jar and still wants more.

I just made the avocado myself, since I can't seem to find it in-store anywhere! I let it ripen a couple days and then mashed it up thoroughly with the back of a spoon, then mashed it again mixed with BM to make it smooth as possible. She was NOT a fan. I plan to try again because it's too darn good for her not to try!

For you incredibly lucky ladies who are my FB friend, you may witness Lily's first completely unmixed, solid meal in her new, sweet-ass plastic chair on my latest photo album. She loves the little tray--it allows her to sit up and look around!

Squee!  I will check out your FB when I get home tonight!
