Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Does this make me crazy?

Today would have been my grandmother's 85th birthday. This morning I woke and and swore I could smell her perfume. G slept in a little and I heard him wake up and start chattering and laughing. I looked in and he was waving up at the corner of the ceiling and smiling.

I went in to his room and jokingly said 'Who came to visit you today?' He kept waving at the same spot. So we ended up singing happy birthday to the ceiling...

  • I'll second that "kids know things we don't"!

Doesn't make you crazy at all! It is a cute story also, and you know they say children are closer to "that world" than this one (now you just go ahead and think I'm crazy, lol) I believe it though.

Me three. I was explaining to DH about my theories on reincarnation and coming to earth for reasons that you plan before coming. I think babies come from somewhere where all their past family lives so they are more connected with that world and can see and hear the spirits from it. Time and social norms decrease the ability in most.

DH looked at me like I had three heads...

  • Dfinitely not crazy! Your story made me smile. My family has all experienced something like this at my mom's home. She cared for both of my grandparents before they passed and there are times we feel their presence. I think it's neat.

  • My mom told me today that a day or two before my grandma died she told people that my grandpa was sitting on the edge of her bed in his pajamas. :)
  • I hope more bumpies post some happy stories like this. My grandpa is dying and is being set up with palative (sp?) care this week. I am praying that ds remembers him somehow or has some connection with him. He has only met him 3 times :(
