I registered for a travel system. Should I also register for a convertible seat for when LO is too big for the travel system?
Also, what types of feeding supplies did you register for?
I'm trying to get my registry in order because my shower invites should be going out at the end of next week. Eep! I can't believe it's already time for me to really start preparing for this little boy. It's scary, but exciting all at the same time!
Re: Registry Questions
I did not register for a car seat for when LO is bigger. Just the infant seat. I suppose you could register for both, but I think showers are typically for things LO will need now, not a year from now.
I registered for some bottles and a boppy in terms of feeding supplies.

You could register for both, there's nothing wrong with that. DH and I decided not to because we will need 2 and should be able to buy them for ourselves when we need them. A lot of my family doesn't have money so we just registered for mostly small stuff.
As far as feeding supplies goes, it depends on what you plan to do (BF vs FF). We registered for the pump (only expensive thing on the registry) and a gift set that comes with bags and bottles. We also registered for some FF supplies just in case we have any problems with BFing. We registered for 2 different types of bottles just because we don't know what she'll like. One of the customers while we were there said that whatever they have first is what they'll want forever, but I didn't believe her. We also registered for a formula dispenser, burp clothes, etc.
We probably registered for to many things but we like to be prepared for all possibilities I guess...

This was one of the most confusing things to me! We decided to go with a great stroller + a convertible car seat and skip the travel system altogether. We got a little extra infant cushiony insert thing to fit into the stroller and the convertible car seat has an infant cushion to help when he's little. Decided against the infant seat/travel system b/c a) we live in a city and I didn't love the wheels on the travel system strollers- don't think they will handle the urban sidewalks!; b) LO will not be in the car a ton for the first months of his life - not really at all for the first 3- and the frontrunning daycare is a 3 block walk away from our home so we'd likely carry him in his Bjorn.
Feeding supplies- I didn't put anything down yet on registry b/c I find it totally confusing. Breast pump (may rent one from hospital to start and make sure that we are going to be BF long term- I've got two friends for whom it did not work out for medical/health reasons); then you need milk storage stuff, right? Then bottles/nips - and sterilizer if you're into that... The sterilizer that we are being loaned is Avent- and you're supposed to use the same brand of bottles, I think, but SIL told me that it's a known fact at her daycare that Avent BPA free bottles leak! So what's a girl to do??
I figure I can figure out the feeding stuff later and add then. For now, I sent my registry to my shower-planning-friend and told her it was done enough! GL!!
I didnt' register for a convertible, but I think you could. Why not? ONe less expense in the future if you have a place to store it.
I BF and did not introduce DS to the bottle till 1 month. I had registered for a bottle gift set plus someone gave me another gift set of a different brand. DS did not take either bottle! So, we had to go purchase a different brand - the NUK one. Anyway, I recommend registering for a few single bottles and not the gift set. Good luck!
