That's the NC non-native coming out in me, since if I were in the western half of the country I would have had a baby on 12/8, but as it is she was born at 1:10am EST on 12/9!

No meds other than antibiotics -- I don't know how much longer I could have lasted though!  Fortunately, as we suspected from her early arrival, she was much more prompt than her sister has ever been...else I'd still be at it. :)

Because she came early enough, DH should be able to pick up Big Sister from preschool at noon to bring here!  This happened so suddenly I barely had a chance to say goodbye as Kira was already out the door this morning.  Already this is by far the longest I've been without seeing her...not that I wouldn't have been willing to previously, LOL, but alas, we have no family here. :)

Speaking of which, my sister will be arriving from Seattle in the evening, and my parents now are hoping to arrive from Hawaii late Saturday.  ILs thankfully agreed to wait until closer to Christmas. 

BTW, I can't log onto Facebook from the hospital, so that's why there's nothing there quite yet!
