DD has the children's place 3 in 1 coat and we love it! Today I went to zip the lining into the shell for the first time and the zipper was totally broken. So I took it to the store and they said she must have ripped it off herself. Now even if she was strong enough to do it, doesn't that really speak to the quality of their stuff? So they offered me store credit, but first I have to get her a new winter coat. What does your toddler wear that can survive Connecticut winters?
thanks!
edit -the 3 in 1 is not available in her size in any color! But i did see this (UBER expensive one from ll bean - https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/66367?feat=3160-GN2 does anyone know it?)

Re: ARG, help! please recommend your toddler winter coat
I'm in CT too : )
I bought an ON wool pink pea coat. It's warm for her, but not bulky enough that I can't get her into her car seat.

Dd has this....nice and warm, but it's a struggle with the car seat too! But, I know that she's warm..

Oh I love that! But day care and DH are pretty insistent on a lined, hooded thinsulate type coat.

We got this one from Gymboree. The lining comes out which makes it easier to get her in and out of, and its still super warm. I am thinking the "lining" looks like a vest and could be worn separately. We went throught 3 other jackets before we found one that worked for us. I didn't see it on their website, we got ours at the mall. FWIW, she wears 18 month clothing but their 12 month jacket was a great fit with room to spare.
