Middle name change?? OPINIONS!!!

Ok so we had decided to name our 3rd baby girl Cambry Lynn!!

We both loved the name and it just seemed to fit so we were going with it!! Although we have received good and bad feedback!!

So I guess I should say that Lynn is my middle name!..We didnt choose to name her after me on purpose we just liked those names together!! and being my middle name was just a bonus!!

My hubby really wanted a boy this time around and was hoping to name the baby after him. He is a jr. I have never been a big fan of his name (well for my kid lol) so thankfully we didnt end up having that issue!!.. Dh's name is Donnie Lamar jr.....His dad has always gone by Donnie...and my DH has gone by Don Don by his family and friends since he was born!!...It took me FOREVER to even call him that but now that is just his name though most of the time I call him just Don. Anyway!! lol...he suggested to me today to change the middle name to Dawn..so that she is somewhat named after him!!....Not a bad idea but Dawn is by no means my favorite name...I have never really liked it actually but I love that she would be able to be named after her daddy (kind of) and it would really make him happy!....I told him I would think about it and he said he doesnt care either way. He likes Cambry Lynn or Cambry Dawn. He is not really picky at all and will go with whatever I choose!! Just wanted to get some opinions!! thanks!!!

What if you have a boy next?! Then you have two children with a name you don't even particularly like, simply because your husband is narcissistic.

If your husband decides he simply must honor himself in some way, how about Cambryn Dawn (nn Cambry?)

Just wanted to see what others thought!!... & I thought it was sweet of him to suggest it because he is more of a you pick and I will tell you what I like and dont like kind of guy!!...:) and if we had a boy we had already decided on another name other than his because we couldnt agree!!

so like I said he doesnt care either way....I just thought it was something I would consider!!

I like Lynn much better. And not that you asked, I'm sorry, not a fan of the multi-generation name repeats, ie Jr, III, IV etc. I like incorporating the name/s of special people but it gets out of control at some point.

I like Dawn just because it's not as common. A lot of people have the middle name Lynn.

I think Lynn sounds best. However, I would go with the name Dawn for DH.

Well, she wasn't asking for opinions on the fn, so I think she's set on that even though you don't like it. I would probably go with Dawn for your hubby since you are done with having kids now, it would be nice to honor him. You can probably see that I have Dawne (family spelling, ugh) in my DD's name, it was also my hubby's choice and represents two important family members.

The first name is pretty much set!!! I know some people do not like it and that is ok....we love it and that is her name!!..:) as for the fact that it doesnt sound corperate I dont really think in 20+ years with all the neveahs and other popular names going around these days that Cambry is going to sound too odd!!!...and I definetly dont think its gonna make my baby sound trashy!!! But thanks for your opinion anyway!!!:)

I still have a while to decide so I will probably switch back and forth between lynn and dawn for a while before I make my final decision!! thanks to everyone who gave their opinion on her middle name!
