So will you put hairbows/headbands on your baby girl? I definitely want to, but I feel like I don't even know where to start.lol..
I do think the ones with the big flowers are cute on one hand but then on the other hand they are kinda silly looking too.
What if she doesn't have any hair..will you put one of those little headbands on?
I am so used to having a boy where I didn't even think about stuff like this.
I'm excited so to have a little girl to dress up. I'm off to check Etsy for some cute little hairbows/headbands..lol..
Show me something your daughter might wear!
Re: Let's talk hairbows/headbands for girls!
I like these thin ones. I have a few BIG ones that I've gotten as gifts, but I prefer these. I think.
Here is a cute link for making your own clips, too, that someone posted on here not too long ago.

Life As We Know It: my Blog
I made some flower clips using the website from a PP and here is what they look like:
I like this because the flowers are clips so I can use just the clips or use them with the headbands. I like the wide headbands. Many of my friends have said that the thin headbands can dig in to the baby's head too much. I got a pack of 4 headbands for $1 and made the flower clips for less than $1. It was fun, too!!
I must be in the minority but I'm not a fan of the headbands with flowers, especially when the flower/bow is so huge it overwhelms the baby's face. It just looks silly to me I guess.
That said, I'd be open to a small bow or barrette, or really thin headband. Something sweet and delicate is more my style.
those are cute, good job! I think I will be using the smaller headbands for when she is newborn till maybe 4 months when they still look super little once she is bigger I will start using the larger headbands, dont it too look too overwhelmed either
I can't tell you how much I HATE the huge flowers/bows/whatever that people are putting on their little girls' heads. I mean, if the thing is as big as her head...really people?
I do have a few of the above referenced skinny headbands, and a few clips with bows/ribbon bumblebees/ribbon butterflies on them that are of an appropriate size for a little one's head. It will depend on if she has hair, too...lol. I do have quite a few hats though as we keep our house pretty chilly (60*) in the winter!
I LOVE almost all of the headbands at this etsy shop. They're all so tiny and sweet and not too overwhelming. I plan on buying one or two for baby girl

I got a few of them from etsy but they are the ones with the real thin band and real tiny flower....I hate the huge thick headbands on little girls heads b/c all you see is the headband. The thin ones are real delicate looking so I'll be sticking with them
Those are really cute! And I was going to say that I bought the thin ones for DD and they did dig into her head. She had a big head though. I'm going to get the thicker ones this time because they are stretchier.
My LO probably has over 50 headbands, excluding clippies now haha I love them! I made most of them, only two of them were bought because they came with her outfit! I got the flowers from the dollar store, ebay and michaels on sale, got clips from sally's, ribbons, hot glue, buttons and rhinestones/ embellishments from ebay and the crochet, nylon and jersey headbands from ebay for great prices.
So far, I made daisies (large and small), lillies, etc, then I made ribbon flowers (carnation, petal, etc) and bows (basic, etc) and I also have different types of bow clippies ( tiny, etc) . They are all so freaking cute and a lot of my friends take them when they are over, but that's ok, she still has about 50 left haha
A lot of the ideas were from this website.
Some of it is time consuming but if you really can't do anything else because you are tired and don't want to sleep, they can be fun! And when you buy everything in bulk, it's so cheap, I don't think I paid more than $50 for everything and I can probably make another 100 bows with whatever's left over. The most expensive were the large flowers but you can get a bunch at the dollar store, so it's not that bad. They are like at least $3 on etsy and even more for the nicer ones, so I saved A LOT by making them. Plus you can attach them to her clothes and what not. I love headbands and I have a few myself (not the large flower ones though haha). I had to teach DH how to accessorize her! I love making stuff and I've made her dresses and tutus also! haha
My feelings exactly!
I am NOT a fan either. Huge flowers and headbands on an almost bald baby? I think it looks ridiculous. I am more of a fan of cute hats.
My feelings exactly.

These are the best bows for really thin hair. They are felt lined and stay in really well.
