DD usually goes down for the night around 8:30. At about 7:30, I went downstairs to switch the wash into the dryer. I left DD in the highchair with some snacks to keep her occupied and out of trouble. I did the laundry, refilled the cats food and water bowls, and got back upstairs after about 10 minutes.
I find: DD passed out in her highchair. She was literally slumped to the side like a drunken sailor with her face resting on the tray. I picked her up out of the highchair, and she said "hi mama" (her newest trick - makes me melt every time) then passed back out on my shoulder.
It was the most pathetic thing she's done to date. I put her in her PJs and she barely even woke up when I laid her in the crib. I'm assuming she napped like crap with DH today. I wish he told me these things so I could have put her to bed earlier. Poor tired baby...
Re: Most pitiful baby ever
I bet she looked like this before she crashed (DS):
LOL. Too cute on the "hi mama" too.
Not to flame at all, but weren't you concerned leaving her alone to eat for 10 minutes? Or is it just me who's too paranoid about choking to have LO out of sight for more than a minute or so when she's eating?
And I agree with PP - the "hi mama" sounds adorable - and crazy advanced to be saying 2 word combos at that age!
OMG... that is the funniest video!
DD did this the other day. the LOs missed thier am nap and she fell asleep in her highchair during her snack. sooo cute!
My Blog

No flaming heard - DD has been eating almost strictly table foods for a good three months now. She only has choked once or twice in the very beginning, and I did have the monitor with me to hear in case she did or started crying. I don't like bringing her downstairs with me because it's slightly scary down there.
If I wait until she's in bed to start the dryer, though, it always wakes her up when it turns on, maybe because it's right under her bedroom.
Yeah, vocally, she's amazing. She says "hi mama" and "hi dada", and waves although she does it when she first sees us or when we're leaving. No "bye" yet. She also says "nana" for my MIL who watches her a lot for us, "jee" for her cousin Gianna, whom we all call Gigi, "deedee" for kitty, and "oh" for cheerios.
Oh I didn't realize you had the monitor with you - that's definitely a different story!
That's great about all the talking - she says more than my DD who's a couple months older. Looks like you're going to have a chatterbox on your hands!
