those of you with 6 year old girls, what gift to get?

We were picked to get a gift for a six year old little girl we don't really know very well at all in our holiday gift exchange. Her grandmother and organizer of the party is no help, so I'd appreciate any suggestions other than clothes. I'm clueless. Oh and to make it more complicated the stingy budget is $10 max. Their rules not mine. Thanks!

    I have a 6yr old daughter. For a $10 budget, I would say you could do something like a colorful stationary set, you know like the Lisa Frank sets from back in the day? My daughter loves to color and draw, so fun crayons or markers, stickers, notebooks. Even books are a great idea! My daughter is obssessed right now with the "Pinkilicious" book series if you want to google that.

    Lurker from 0-3, soon to be here. My DD will be six in Feb. and she is a diva. So anything girly, hair stuff, lip glosses or flavored chapsticks, princess tiaras. Hope that helps.

     This is what my DD is into but she also loves to read and draw so either option would be good. GL!
