Cloth Diapering

Anyone use disposables overnight?

DS has been waking up soaked through for a couple of weeks now :( I don't know what else to try!!  I'm contemplating just switching to disposables for overnight.

Right now I use BG pockets stuffed with the large microfiber insert and two AFFF inserts.  I can't fit anymore inserts in there!!

  • I feel like I keep posting this. Kawaii overnights have been working great for my super soaker. We use the 2 mf inserts it comes with plus a hemp insert.

Thanks for the rec!  I'm looking into these and am wondering how bulky they are?  The way we have the BG's stuffed right now makes it almost impossible to put pj pants on DS b/c they are so thick!  Are the Kawaii pretty bulky as well?

  • I was afraid to CD overnight for the longest time, so DD has been in sposies at night until recently. Our solution for her is a BG3.0 with 2-3 layers of hemp or bamboo and a layer of MF

They are pretty bulky but his pj's still over it. I tried fitted with wool and they were much more bulky. I do not think there is a slim overnight solution. The Kawaii's are only around $10 so it is worth a try.

  • We use disposables at night on my toddler.

But we started cloth diapering with her when ds was born just 5 months ago and I honestly didn't want to spend money buying diapers to figure out what was going to work.  We were already using disposibles for school and the plan was never really to cd with her, so I don't sweat it.  We tried it for a few nights and I couldn't stand the amonia smell, or the fact that we had to change the sheets every morning.  I do have to say though that the few times that I've had to put her in a CD to sleep (we have one diaper that will hold her through the night) it is a Kawaii, though I'm not sure if it's an overnight, with what I believe is a sherpa wool insert and a mf insert.

Don't feel bad if the only solution you can find is to change to disposables!

  • Yes some nights I use disposables others I CD. I'm trying to use up the diapers that people gave us. I don't want them to go to waste.
