yesterday was the first day...

someone (a stranger) knew i was pregnant without me telling them. We were at the Tempe Art Festival and we were buying a piece of art and I told my husband I was thirsty. The lady who was selling it to us says," the baby is thirsty too." is it too early for strangers to tell at 17 weeks or no? has anyone else noticed on you and if so how far along were you?

    It just depends on how quickly you begin showing. Some people look way pregnant at 17 weeks, I just look fat so no one would notice yet! Count yourself as lucky that you look pregnant and not hefty!

    I still have to tell most people, but it mainly depends on what I'm wearing.

    I was on the 16th Street Mall in Denver at 8 weeks, not showing at all of course, when a guy handing out flyers on the corner I was about to cross said, "Why, hello Mama!" to me. I just stared at him, I couldn't even react.

    He just thought you were hot...and you put it into a context he had no idea about!

    On friday i was flying back from Orlando and i stopped at the Southwest desk to ask them a question.  The lady saw that i was pregnant and gave me a pre-board ticket just because, yeah!  This is my second and i am definetely showing more than my first.

    Just last week.  I am definitely showing, and I had a belly hugging shirt.  Most of the time a scarf or sweater hang over my belly though not this time.  The word is out!

    Anything is possible!

    I am a teacher and have had one woman's grandchildren every year I have been teaching (this is my 4th year). 

    I was 7 or 8 weeks pregnant when we had our back to school night. She congratulated me, and when I looked puzzled and reminded her that she had already congratulated me on our May marriage she said "I'm not talking about your marriage, I'm talking about that (pointing to my stomach and smiling)" I almost fell over in shock! At this point we had only told our family members and a few friends (some of which were teachers), but I know no one told her. She just knew.

    Some people just have an intuition about these things I suppose...even though I normally do not believe in stuff like that. She told me that everyone in her family comes to her to find out whether or not they are pregnant because she is better than a pregnancy test lol. 

    Enjoy the pregnant comments and brush off the annoying ones...believe me those are coming as well if they haven't started already. :)
