Does anyone have a water table

I am thinking of getting one for JAck but wondering if it would be better to get a sand/water table.  Any thoughts?

Re: Does anyone have a water table

  • Sand and water tables should actually be called mud tables :-) We have a water table and both girls love it.

  • We have a sand/water table.   DD received it as a gift for her first birthday... we used it a lot before it got cold.   We put water on both sides for this year... next summer we will re-evaluate if she is ready for sand or if we are just going to end up with sand soup.   I figure at least we have the option of adding sand later if we want to.

  • Other posters have had cool ideas for using sand/water tables indoors year round (lentils, oatmeal, etc.). My DH is a neat freak and was not ok with it, but I am probbaly going to do it anyway and clean up the mess before he sees it lol.
  • I have that blue water table for my kids. They love it. It's the one with the little tower on it.

My thoughts on sand water tables is that they are mud tables.

  • We have a step 2 water table. I have heard the sand table "toy" fits the water table. One of these days I will order it but for now we are using it indoors. DD enjoys playing with balls and matchbox cars in there now since there is a rampin the actual table, but she uses the arctic rock that water can go down as a ramp for the cars too. I have yet to put sand in it. When she gets older it's something we will do. This was definitely one of the best 30 dollar toys I purchased, it has so many uses. So all in all I would get a water table since u can turn them into sand tables....yes u can turn sand tables into water tables but there are usually not ramps in the sand tables
