DD has had a cold for the past week. At first, it was really bad...lots of green snot pouring from her nose. Her cough was really dry & if we weren't out of town, I would've taken her right then b/c I was afraid it might be croup. Then, the snot slowed down & her cough became more wet. Now, she still has a runny nose, although its more clear & not all the time. She still has an occasional cough, but again, its just random. The thing that concerns me is that sometimes I can feel the "junk" in her little body if I put my hand on her chest/back when she's breathing. Again, that isn't all the time & usually after she coughs I can't feel it anymore so I think it's not actually in her chest, but I'm a little concerned about it. Otherwise, her behavior, eating/sleeping habits are normal. She's never had a fever. So do I keep waiting this out since she's been getting better, or would you take her in? Thanks!
Re: When to take her to the Dr for a cold?
my rule is to take her in only if she's not eating well or if I see her really unconfortable.
GL!
hope she gets better soon
