I EBF. But, while at target the other day buying wipes I stopped and looked at the formula for awhile, I guess I was just curious on cost and such. I noticed there is a formula for 12-36 mo. You could even choose regular or vanilla flavored. I'm a little baffled. I understand some babies may not be ready for cows milk until maybe 13 or 14 mo. but, why on earth would a baby need formula all the way to 3 years. Then I started thinking, and wondering if I should be breastfeeding after 1 year if I don't want Evelyn to take formula. I'm sure I am totally over thinking this as I do with alot of things. Can someone explain this one to me?
Re: Formula for 12-36 mo?
From what I understand, those "toddler formulas" are just a way for formula companies to make money. Most babies are fine going to whole milk at 1 year of age, cold turkey.
