Help! Leaking

My son is 5 weeks old and we've been using either fuzzibunz or thirsties duo diapers. He weighs about 9 1/2 pounds and we have both diapers at the smallest that they go. At first, they were doing great and we had no leaks at all, but the past couple days I've had several leaks both pee and poo. I noticed with both poo explosions that we've had that it came out of the side on one of his legs. I always make sure that the little ruffle is sticking out and it really looks like it fits him (there's not gap on his legs) so I'm not sure why it's leaking out. Any thoughts? Do I need to move up a size? I can't keep changing his outfits three times a day like this!

Are you talking about the one-size FB? I didn't have those when LO was that small but I don't think they'd fit very well at 9.5 lbs - most OS dipes don't fit well then.
Leaking out of the legs often means the legs aren't snug enough. You may get a better fit when LO chunks up a bit more.

how much detergent are you using??? It could be that you migth be using too much so the diaper is repeling urine. I had that problem too....
